Doug Landsittel is a statistician and Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, where he directs the Section on Biomarkers and Prediction Modeling and serves as the Director of Biostatistics for the Starzl Transplant Institute. Dr. Landsittel also serves in a lead role within the Institute for Clinical Research Education as the Director of the Comparative Effectiveness Research Track within the MS Program and Director of the Expanding National Capacity in PCOR through Training (ENACT) Program, which is an AHRQ-funded R25 grant to build expertise and infrastructure within Minority-Serving Institutions. In addition, he serves as the PI of an NIDDK-funded data coordinating center (with KT Bae) and a PCORI methods contract (which seeks to develop a decision tool for analysis of observational data). His areas of research generally focus on biomarkers and prognostic models, and evaluation of treatments or interventions using observational data.
